I thought about that myself. I'd start wearing Keds shoes like Johnny Ramone. It's the same thing, pretty much. I have a Ramones poster with all of them wearing Keds. Except for Joey, because he was wearing slip-on deck shoes. I'd just look around for sneakers, I guess. I think they'd have to be white ones, though. I've never seen black Keds.

Also, who cares? We opened for Run Devil Run. I figure it will be about the same thing. We're playing first or second, so all the HC kids will probably not care/watch. So whatever. I do love MPB, though.

Other than skate shoes and Doc's i dont wear anything else. I cant get into Chucks. I wear mine as slippers. Keds? I've never seen anyone but girls wear Ked's.
Also, not to start a fight...isn't modeling your shoe choice (hypothetically) after the ramones a bit much on this image game you're accused of playing?

Keds are the closest shoes on the market to Chucks. They look like normal sneakers. But I will say that there are many more girl styles than dudes. But I would rock Keds like a motherfucker if I had to.
It is not image. I just want cheap, simple sneakers. Since I don't skate anymore, spending all that money on those big clunky shoes is a bad idea. I just want plain sneakers, though I could consider rocking the "Off-The-Wall" Vans, that they had in the 70's.
I need tighter pants. Not Kepi tight, but tight.

not all skate shoes are big chunky and expensive... chucks arent cheap if you think about how crapy they are made. There a peice of cloth with rubber glued to the bottom basicly =x.
If i was you i would just make my own shoes with a old t-shirt and some parts from your old shoes b00m!

I like my duffs. I'm getting some etnies next pay, because the skate shop where my friend works is going under. more cheap stuff for me.

I've had chucks that started falling apart in less than 2 months. I still have a fairly new pair somewhere. I'll buy one more pair of chucks. some lack monochrome ones, but that's it for me.

I've had my chucks for about a year and they are fine. I skate in them and all and well they are a little worn, but I like em that way!
